Edits 2D turn simulations by adding, moving, or deleting nodes or by making small offset, radius, or sweep angle adjustments to corner path or oversteer corner path simulations. 2D turn simulations generated with rear steered vehicles can also be edited to adjust the rear steered part in the simulation. Nodes can occur at the start and ends of simulations as well as in the midpoints of arc path simulations and in the corner portion of corner path and oversteer corner path simulations.
Note: Simulations that contain at least one section created with the IntelliPath or Place Adaptive Simulation tools, or that use the Force Straight Line option, are not supported.
The Path Control tool is intended for making relatively minor adjustments to simulations. For example, if the vehicle runs too close to an object or runs slightly over a curb line, this tool can be used to make the necessary correction without having to recreate the simulation; however, for larger scale changes it is recommended that other editing tools such as Delete Last Section and Continue Simulation be used.
To edit a 2D turn simulation with the Path Control tool, click Path Control on the ribbon or toolbar, pick the simulation you want to edit, and then move the pointer over the simulation to display the nodes that can be manipulated. The following table describes the various actions that can be performed:

Adjust Radius | Adjusts the radius of a corner in a corner or oversteer corner path simulation. Entry and exit tangents must be of sufficient length to support modifying the radius. In other words, if the radius needs to be increased, the length of the entry and/or exit tangent must first be increased. This node is not available for reverse corner or reverse oversteer corner path simulations that were generated with multi-part vehicles. | |
Adjust Offsets | Adjusts the entry and exit offsets of a corner in a corner or oversteer corner path simulation. Entry and exit tangents must be of sufficient length to support modifying entry and exit offsets.
