Evaluates routes that avoid specified exclusion lines (e.g. buildings, curbs, etc.) and then generates movements with different vehicles on selected routes.

    Note:

Begin by defining the Route Analysis Area first, add exclusion lines, define routes, and then add movements. Edit route boundaries directly or add and/or subtract exclusion lines to change the route boundaries.

    IntelliPath Dialog Box

    Route Analysis Area Section

The route analysis area is considered to be specified when a route analysis area and exclusion lines have been specified in the drawing.

    Name

This is the name of the current route analysis area. Select the current route analysis area from this list.

     Add New Area

Click this button to add a new route analysis area.

     Rename Area

Click this button to rename the current route analysis area.

     Delete Area

Click this button to delete the current route analysis area.

     Define Route Analysis Area

Click this button to click points in the drawing to define the extents of the working area. As you click points, the shape of the Route Analysis Area will grow. Right-click to close the area and return to the IntelliPath dialog box. The Route Analysis Area cuts off picked exclusion lines to create a condensed working area without having to recreate existing geometry for smaller analysis areas.

Note: The Route Analysis Area can be redefined as many times as desired until a route is added.

     Pick Exclusion Lines

Click this button to pick the open and closed CAD geometry elements that represent the extents of the drivable areas within the route analysis area. Right-click to stop adding exclusion lines and return to the IntelliPath dialog box.

Note: Elements can be selected by picking them, windowing, or crossing.

     Delete Exclusion Lines

Click this button to select and delete exclusion lines within the route analysis area in the drawing.

    Routes/Movements Section

This section contains a table with routes and movements created for each route, if applicable.

     Add Route

Click this button to add a route within the route analysis area. Click points in the route analysis area to create the desired route then right-click to finish. At this point, you can click any two points along the route boundary to change the route boundary. You can change the selected portion into a Corner shape (default option), an Arc (select in the dialog box or press CTRL), or select Pick Element in the dialog box and then pick an element in the drawing. Continue picking boundary two points at a time to change the boundary as desired or right-click to finish editing. The route is then added to the table.

     Add Movement

Click this button to add a movement to the selected route. See Generate/Edit Movement.

    Name

Displays the names of the routes and the vehicles used in movements.

    Design Speed

Displays the speed of the vehicle that was used to generate the movement or the calculated maximum achievable speed for the movement. To change the speed, click the Edit Movement button or simply double-click the movement in the table, and then specify the desired speed under Movement Speed in the Edit Movement dialog box.

    Envelope

Displays the type of vehicle envelope that was used for checking conflicts when the movement was generated. To change the type of envelope, click the Edit Movement button or simply double-click the movement in the table, and then select the desired envelope in the Conflict Check list in the Edit Movement dialog box.

    Status

Displays the status of the movement. If a movement cannot be generated, its status will display as "Fail."

    Draw

Select this checkbox to draw the route/movement in the route analysis area.

     Copy Route (without movements)

Click this button to make a copy of the route. Type a name for the new route in the Route Name dialog box that displays.

Note: The movement(s) associated with the route are not copied.

     Edit Route Boundary/Movement

Click this button to edit the route's boundary/movement.

     Route Properties

Click this button to change the name and color of the route.

     Delete Route/Movement

Click this button to delete the selected route/movement.

     Regenerate Routes and Movements

If you have made any changes to the existing CAD geometry in the drawing, click this button to update the routes and movements accordingly.

     Generate Site Report

Click this button to export the report to a text file and then view it in your default text editor (e.g. Microsoft® Notepad). Alternatively, save the report to a .csv format file.

     Place Site Vehicle Profiles

Click this button to insert dimensioned profile views of the vehicles used in the movements.
