This feature is not available in GuideSIGN SIGMA.

GuideSIGN Plus 2024.8.2 supports TrueType fonts in sign panels, dimensions, and reporting. You can specify TrueType fonts in Panel Style's Text Category when editing panel styles or in the Highway Text - Advanced dialog box when placing text.

GuideSIGN Plus supports any text strings created with any of the fonts (text styles) used in AutoCAD/BricsCAD or MicroStation.

GuideSIGN Plus will recognize the text during the Update Existing Panel, Move Single Object, Move Multiple Objects, and Place Dimensions operations. (TrueType fonts must be used in order for letter positions in dimensioning and reporting to work correctly.)

CAD text placed in this manner will not be created on the levels/layers required to be compatible with GuideSIGN Plus’s Display Mode settings and Save to Exchange File, Export Sign for Cutter, and Export Sign Data tools. GuideSIGN Plus will not recognize CAD placed rotated text.

Since AutoCAD/BricsCAD and MicroStation have the ability to access any fonts available to Windows, any fonts installed on your system can be used to create sign text with GuideSIGN Plus.

See your AutoCAD/BricsCAD or MicroStation documentation for instructions on accessing Windows fonts and creating text using the text functions in the CAD systems.

Note: GuideSIGN Plus does not associate the FHWA TrueType fonts with the M.U.T.C.D. setting of the panel style - they are treated as regular TrueType fonts in GuideSIGN Plus. Therefore, it is possible to mismatch the panel's M.U.T.C.D. Edition setting with different M.U.T.C.D. Editions of the FHWA TrueType fonts on a sign. Please ensure your TrueType font choices match the M.U.T.C.D. Edition setting of the sign.
