    Save to Exchange File
    In This Topic

This feature is not available in GuideSIGN SIGMA.

Allows you to save a sign in the GuideSIGN Exchange Format (.gsx) in the Output folder (located in the Contents User folder).

By default, the current drawing name is used to create the *.gsx file name. If you want to save the file under a different name, type the desired name in the File name box.

Hint: The custom content in the sign panel you select needs to be sent along with the exchange file when sharing exchange files. If the custom content is not shared along with the exchange file, the software will draw the custom content as a rectangle with an "X" in it when the sign is opened from the exchange file.

    GuideSIGN Exchange Files

GuideSIGN Exchange Format (.gsx) files are text files that contain a description of a sign and all its elements. Since these files are platform independent, they can be used to exchange signs between different platforms, such as AutoCAD/BricsCAD and MicroStation.

Signs opened from saved .gsx files are fully editable and have identical appearance in all supported platforms.
