Fillet produces the design of taxiway fillets (curve widening) for a complete taxiway intersection or connecting intersections, in accordance with the regulation set in the Settings dialog.
Based on the selected taxiway width and total width including shoulders, plus the list of airplanes that the user selects¹, the command can automatically draw the calculated fillet (Taxiway, calculated edge) and shoulder edges (Shoulder, calculated edge) for the intersection, including the straight portion(s). Operational direction filters can be set for each intersection entry and route. The airplane(s) that contribute to the intersection's calculated taxiway fillet edge are listed in the Fillet Results dialog. Depending on the CAD platform, the command can be started from the AviPLAN Airside Pro ribbon, toolbar or menu.
The fillet design is saved as a Fillet session.
¹[FAA only] The airplanes selected in the Airplanes tab do not contribute in any way to Taxiway, calculated edge or Shoulder, calculated edge. See Fillet Results for details.
Note: AviPLAN Airside Pro produced lines are calculated to denote mandatory limits of the load bearing surface only. Construction edges will differ and are dependant on the chosen design method and construction materials.
Note: Many of the AviPLAN Airside Pro default values can be set to user-defined default values. See Program Defaults.
