AviPLAN Airside Pro is designed with flexibility in mind and an important aspect of this is the interaction between technical planning and visualization.

In AviPLAN Airside Pro , it is possible to alternate freely between 2D and 3D visualization in the Drawing Manager to suit the technical planning task at hand. It is often easiest to use a 2D plan (top down) view to ensure horizontal distances between objects are correct, whilst it may be more beneficial to review operations near or under airplane wings in 3D.

The interaction between technical planning and visualization remains the same in AviPLAN Airside Pro regardless of whether simulations are generated on a X,Y plane at Z=0 or Z≠0, or on a simple or complex terrain (see Settings). In the latter case, even if a simulation is visualized in 2D, terrain elevations (changes) are taken into account when undertaking technical planning work.
