Construction Triangle Category
In This Topic
This category allows you to view and edit the construction triangle’s base, distance, offset, height, and connecting radius.
Design Guidelines' Construction Triangle Category Dialog Box
In the dialog box, move the mouse pointer over the controls to view the associated tooltip and then reference the controls described below.
Note: For the purposes of describing the software, it is assumed that
Right-Hand Traffic is selected under
Traffic Direction in
Design Guidelines' General Category. If
Left-Hand Traffic is selected, the descriptions with references to a right/left turn path should be interpreted in the opposite direction.
Triangle Base
Specify the triangle base value in the box or clic
Calculate Triangle Base and then specify a factor to calculate the value or vice versa.
Triangle Distance
Specify the triangle distance value in the box or click
Calculate Triangle Distance and then specify a factor to calculate the value or vice versa.
Triangle Apex Offset
Specify the triangle apex offset value in the box or click
Calculate Triangle Apex Offset and then specify a factor to calculate the value or vice versa. In addition, there is an option to modify the basic offset constant (the default value is 0.25 m) by typing the desired value in the
Add a basic offset of box. Increasing or decreasing, the value will shift the construction triangle to the left or to the right of the reference geometry respectively.
Triangle Height
Specify the triangle height value in the box or click
Calculate Triangle Height and then specify a factor to calculate the value or vice versa.
Connecting Radius
Specify the connecting radius value in the box or click
Calculate Connecting Radius and then specify a factor to calculate the value or vice versa.
