This category allows you to view/edit the traffic direction, approach label name, and the number of entry and exit lanes.

Design Guidelines' General Category Dialog Box

    Traffic Direction Section

    Right-Hand Traffic

Select this option if traffic in the roundabout is right-hand traffic (i.e. traffic moves counter-clockwise around the roundabout).

    Left-Hand Traffic

Select this option if traffic in the roundabout is left-hand traffic (i.e. traffic moves clockwise around the roundabout).

Note: For the purposes of describing the software, it is assumed that Right-Hand Traffic is selected under Traffic Direction in Design Guidelines' General Category. If Left-Hand Traffic is selected, the descriptions with references to a right/left turn path should be interpreted in the opposite direction.

    Default Approach Label Section

    Approach Label

Specify the Approach Label value that is used in the roundabout leg names. Each leg's Name in a roundabout, by default, is comprised of the Approach Label and an automatically assigned incremental number (e.g. Approach 1).

    Default Number of Lanes Section

Note: This feature is not available in the Australian, Regional, or Turbo Roundabout design guidelines.

Specify the default number of entry and exit lanes when legs are added to the roundabout.
