Generates Vehicle Envelopes Design Method, Regional Design Method, and Adaptive roundabouts from shipped and user created templates.
Note:
This tool requires the presence of user-drawn lines and/or arcs to become reference geometry for the roundabout design. Using the line and/or arc tools in AutoCAD or MicroStation, draw the reference geometry that represents the roundabout’s approach leg centerlines.
Select the type of roundabout to generate:
Select the desired number of legs for the roundabout.
Click the Next button to advance to the next step in the wizard.
In the drawing, pick reference elements until the desired number of legs have been added to the roundabout and then click Next.
Click the Next button to advance to the next step in the wizard.
Select the desired template to base the roundabout on.
Note: Click Template Details to get information on a selected template (see Template Details Dialog Box).
Click the Next button to advance to the next step in the wizard.
Select the desired design guideline in the list.
Click the Rotate Clockwise or Rotate Counter-Clockwise buttons to orient the roundabout as desired.
Click the Finish button to complete the last step in the wizard.
Select Adaptive Roundabout under Roundabout Type.
Select the number of legs as desired and then click Next.
Select the desired template to base the roundabout on.
Click the Next button to advance to the next step in the wizard.
Pick a point in the drawing to place the roundabout.
Set the orientation angle by moving the mouse pointer and then clicking a point in the drawing when the desired angle is reached.
Edit the roundabout using the Edit Roundabout - Adaptive dialog box.
