Configure Circulatory Offsets
In This Topic
Override the circulatory offsets specified in the current Design Guidelines' Circulatory Offsets Category.
Configure Circulatory Offsets Dialog Box
In the dialog box, move the mouse pointer over the controls to view the associated tooltip and then reference the controls described below.
For a description of the elements drawn in the roundabout in this category, see
Roundabout Illustration Legend.
External Circulatory Offset
Specify the external circulatory offset value. This is the distance from the inscribed circle diameter to the closest tire track of the vehicle.
Internal Circulatory Offset
Specify the internal circulatory offset value. This is the distance from the central island to the closest tire track of the vehicle.
External Lane Offset
Specify the external lane offset value (for a multiple lane roundabout). This is the distance from the line dividing the lanes to the closest tire track of the vehicle traveling in the external lane.
Internal Lane Offset
Specify the internal lane offset value (for a multiple lane roundabout). This is the distance from the line dividing the lanes to the closest tire track of the vehicle traveling in the external lane.
Circulatory Roadway / Carriageway Width
Select this check box and then specify the width value of the circulatory roadway/carriageway. This value will update dynamically as each offset parameter is modified. Click Use Minimum Width to set the value based on the critical design vehicle and specified offsets.
