Edit the grading model in the dialog box to represent the roundabout's crown alignments and cross-slopes. This allows the designer to evaluate the design for high points and low points in a three dimensional way.

Note: This tool requires that the roundabout was created with at least one approach leg.

    Grading Design Checks Section

In this section, select the check box to specify the corresponding value.

    Minimum Alignment Slope

Specify the minimum alignment slope value. The minimum grades along the corner alignment which are less than the absolute Minimum Alignment Slope value will be indicated in red.

    Maximum Cross-slope

Specify the maximum cross-slope value. This is the maximum cross-slope in a cross-slope region. Cross-slopes exceeding the maximum value will be indicated in red.

    Spot Elevation Interval

Specify the spot elevation interval value. This is the spacing interval between spot elevation labels on the alignments.

    Cross-slope Settings Section

    Draw all Cross-slopes

Select this option to draw all cross-slope values in the grading model. If this option is not selected, only the exceeded cross-slope values will draw.

    Cross Slope Interval

Specify the cross-slope interval value. This is the spacing interval between cross-slope lines in the cross-slope regions.

    Button Option Click to...
Grading Settings Specify the grading settings.
Draw Contour Lines Draw a contour representation of the grade elevations.
