Rows can be generated using the following properties. Each row segment can have a different combination of settings and most of these settings are available to each of the row or lot generation tools depending on the tool.
Each of these properties can be changed and previewed in the drawing before generating the row or lot.
The generate row tools use the interior layout as specified in the Tools -> Design Parameters -> Parking Standards category. The desired layout can be changed from its current setting to another by clicking the Change button. This will display the Select Layout dialog box which lists all of the available layouts for the current parking standard:
Select Layout
Selecting a different layout in this dialog box then clicking OK will change the interior row layout for the current tool as well as in Design Parameters.
Click this button to select the desired arrangement for the stalls.
The four row types are:

Click this button to select which direction the open end of the stall will face.
Note: The Left and Right settings are not based on cardinal direction but on the vector direction determined by the start and end points of the row. |
The following properties are on when the button is depressed or pushed in:
Click this button to align the left side stalls with the right side stalls in a double sided row.
Note: The alignment only occurs within the row. This setting does not align the stalls between two or more rows in a lot.
Click this button to set the aisle distance to either AW (One-Way) or AW (Two-Way). When rows are snapped to this row or aisle construction lines are being drawn, they will be placed at the aisle distance as defined by the layout of the current parking standard.
Click this button to change the open direction of angled stalls. This setting is used to reverse the traffic flow direction between the rows. It can be used with layouts that employ angles other than 90 degrees.
Click this button to toggle the generation of wheel stops within the stalls. The wheel stops will be generated using the dimensions specified in Design Parameters.
Click this button to toggle the generation of islands at the row ends.
Click this button to toggle the generation of mid-islands. Mid-islands will be generated at the spacing and dimensions defined in Design Parameters.
The following two tools are exclusive to the Generate Lot from Boundary tool:
If Snap to Side is on, ParkCAD will snap the angle of the interior rows so that it is parallel to the row side selected.
Snap to Aisle is used in conjunction with Snap to Side to position the first interior row adjacent to the perimeter aisle. When editing, the Snap to Aisle tool can be used to align interior rows. This ensures that rows are parallel and not violating aisle widths.
