Evaluate Parking Movements
Tools > Evaluate Parking Movements

Allows parking stalls in a lot to be evaluated for ease of parking.

Note: The vehicle used in this tool is specified in the Design Parameters' Movement Vehicle category.

To Evaluate the Stalls in a Parking Lot:

This procedure assumes that a lot has been generated (see Generate Lot from Boundary).

  1. Click Evaluate Parking Movements on the ParkCAD toolbar or ribbon.
  2. In the drawing click inside a lot. The Evaluate Parking Movements dialog box displays.
  3. In the Evaluate Parking Movements dialog box click New.
  4. In the drawing, click inside the stall that you want to evaluate.
  5. In the aisle, click on the side of the stall that you want the movement to start from.
  6. Click in the movement to place a vehicle.
  7. Repeat step 6 as desired.
  8. Right-click to finish creating the movement.

Name

The name of the movement.

Length

The path length of the movement.

New

Click this button to create a new movement.

Edit

Click this button and then pick the movement at a corner to change the corner geometry.

Delete

Click this button to delete the selected movement.
