    Copying a Sign Assembly
    In This Topic

This feature is not available in GuideSIGN.

Allows a sign assembly to be copied to a new position in the drawing. You can change any aspect of the copied sign assembly during this process.

    To Copy a Sign Assembly:

    1. Click Copy Sign Assembly on the GuideSIGN Plus toolbar or ribbon, and then pick the sign assembly you want to copy. The Place Sign Support Symbol dialog box displays.

    2. (Optional) To edit the copy of the sign assembly, click Back. The Edit Sign Assembly dialog box displays (see Tools -> Edit Sign Assembly). Edit the sign assembly as necessary, and then click Next to return to the Place Sign Support Symbol dialog box.

    3. Place the sign support symbol in the sign plan drawing (see Tools -> Create Sign Assembly -> Place Sign Support Symbol).

(Optional) If you have selected a reference line or offset reference geometry relative to which the sign support symbol will be placed in the sign plan drawing, you can use the Override Horizontal Clearance dialog box to override the horizontal clearance specified for the reference line or offset reference geometry (see Tools -> Create Sign Assembly -> Override Horizontal Clearance).

    4. Specify sign facing for the sign assembly (see Tools -> Edit Sign Assembly -> Change Sign Facing).

    5. If the sign assembly uses a cantilever, butterfly cantilever, span, or span + cantilever sign support (see Tools -> Create Sign Assembly - Sign Assembly Tab: Sign Support Type), specify the span length (see Tools -> Edit Sign Assembly -> Change Span Length) and the sign group location (Tools -> Edit Sign Assembly -> Change Sign Group Location).

    6. Modify the sign assembly status if necessary, specify whether you want to have the leader line drawn, and then place sign groups/annotations in the sign plan drawing (see Tools -> Create Sign Assembly -> Place Sign Groups/Annotations).

    7. Set the sign groups/annotations angle (see Tools -> Edit Sign Assembly -> Change Sign Groups/Annotations Angle).
