This feature is not available in GuideSIGN.
Allows placement parameters to be specified for the sign support symbol that is being placed in the sign plan drawing.
Allows you to place the sign support symbol based on a dynamic input distance along a reference line perpendicularly projected out by the horizontal clearance from the reference line or to the intersection of the horizontal clearance from offset reference geometry.
To place the sign support symbol relative to a reference line or offset reference geometry, select the Reference Line check box, click the desired reference line or offset reference geometry in the list, move the pointer to choose the desired position for the sign support symbol, and then click to place the sign support symbol.
As you move the pointer in the drawing, the feet from datum (for example) box below the reference line list will display the distance from the reference line's datum, nearest station, or nearest reference location sign to the sign support symbol. If you want to have the software place the sign support symbol at a particular distance from the reference line's datum, station, or reference location sign, type the desired value in the box, and then click Apply.
Allows you to specify the side of the reference line or offset reference geometry to place the sign support symbol relative to. To have the sign support symbol placed on the right or left side of the reference line or offset reference geometry, click Right or Left respectively. If you change the side by moving the pointer as you place the sign support symbol in the sign plan drawing, the software will dynamically update the Side of Reference setting.
Note: The default sign facing is set perpendicularly relative to the reference line or offset reference geometry selected in the list. You can modify sign facing at the next step using the Set Sign Facing dialog box (see Set Sign Facing).
If you are not using reference elements, simply click a point in the sign plan drawing to place the sign support symbol.

Override Horizontal Clearance | Override the horizontal clearance for the reference line or offset reference geometry selected in the list. |
Allows you to specify a radius of the circle drawn around the pointer during sign support symbol placement to help you choose a position that is far enough from other sign supports to ensure adequate spacing or a larger radius that would determine the suitable placement of repeated signs along the corridor. To specify the minimum sign support distance, select the Minimum Sign Support Distance check box, and then type the desired value in the corresponding box.
When this check box is cleared, the elevation of the base of the 3D sign support is displayed as the sign support symbol is moved in the drawing with the pointing device.
When this check box is selected the elevation of the base of the 3D sign support can be specified.
