Note: The following applies when Stop line creation is set to Automatic & User-defined and Airplane positioning is set to Automatic (enabled by default). See Airplane Parking.

Using this mode of operation, stop lines may be positioned by the user or automatically by AviPLAN Airside Pro , and airplanes automatically positioned by AviPLAN Airside Pro .

Note: When stop lines have been placed by the user first, AviPLAN Airside Pro will attempt to place the airplanes on these stop lines if possible, assuming all criteria can be met. If certain criteria cannot be met, one or more automatic stop lines will be created in addition to these user-defined stop lines.

Use the  Add Stop line button above the Airplane Parking table to add a stop line. After the location of the stop line is confirmed, an additional tab will be added to the Airplane Parking table.

All tab

Use the Add Airplane button to add airplanes to the stand. The airplanes will be automatically positioned in consideration of the criteria defined elsewhere in the Airplane Parking tab, as well as the Bridge, Lead-in line and Services tabs (mainly bridge slope, nose and rear limits and distance to services such as the fuel pits).

Once AviPLAN Airside Pro has positioned the airplanes, the grid will be populated with data.

Specific actions that can be performed for an individual airplane or multiple selection of airplanes are:

• Click the Pin/Unpin button to pin or unpin an airplane (the icon shows the current status). A pinned airplane cannot be repositioned by the automatic airplane positioning process.
• Click the Move Airplane button in the table to move the airplane from one stop line to another and click to confirm the new position or press Esc to cancel the action. Keep the Ctrl button pressed to move the airplane independent from stop line positions along the lead-in line. Click to confirm the airplane position and a stop line will be created at this position.
• Use the Remove airplane button to remove an airplane from the session.

Status tab

This tab displays comments related to any errors or warnings that have been identified (those airplanes displaying a red or yellow circle icon in the Airplane Parking table), for example if a door is outside of the bridge's envelope or bridge slope is approaching the maximum allowable limit.

User-defined stop line tabs

When a User-defined stop line tab is selected, the type and position of the stop line are indicated, usually as a distance from the first stop line. Specific actions that can be performed for subject stop line are:

• Move (or reposition) the stop line
• Remove the stop line

Specific actions that can be performed for an individual airplane or multiple selection of airplanes are:

• Click the Pin/Unpin button to pin or unpin an airplane (the icon shows the current status). A pinned airplane cannot be repositioned by the automatic airplane positioning process.

• Use the Remove airplane button to remove an airplane from the session.
