The Edit tab is displayed when the 3D Presentation dialog appears. In this tab the complete presentation is configured, including selecting which Path, Stand or Park sessions to be included, time scheduling, static display of objects before and after the movement, etc.
Note: Before selecting the command 3D Presentation, switching to a 3D CAD environment is recommended in order to create realistic 3D presentations. For example, in AutoCAD Visual Styles such as "Shaded", "Realistic" and "Conceptual" can be selected, or in MicroStation Display Styles such as "Smooth" or "Illustration" are available.
The Session panel on the left-hand side of the dialog lists all available sessions that can be included in the presentation.
To include Park sessions in the 3D Presentation, tick the tick-boxes in front of the airplane name and they will appear as static objects in the 3D Presentation.
To include Path sessions in the 3D Presentation, select a session and press the Add session to track list button, located between the Sessions and Timeline panels. The session will be moved to its own track in the Timeline panel.
To add a session to an existing track in the Timeline panel, selected the applicable session from the Sessions panel, select the appropriate track from the Timeline panel, and press the Add session to selected track button, located between the Sessions and Timeline panels.
To include Path sessions in the 3D Presentation, browse to a session's Dock or Retract and press the Add session to track list button, located between the Sessions and Timeline panels. The session sequence will be moved to its own track in the Timeline panel.
To add a session sequence to an existing track in the Timeline panel, selected the applicable sequence from the Sessions panel, select the appropriate track from the Timeline panel, and press the Add session to selected track button, located between the Sessions and Timeline panels.
Sessions are added to the Timeline panel with their duration in accordance with the session's movement duration. The timeline can be compressed or expanded with the Zoom In and Zoom Out buttons integrated on its left side.
Once placed, it is also possible to move sessions between tracks on the Timeline panel. This can be done by right-clicking on a session and selecting Move up or Move down.
Note: In the Timeline panel, a Camera is indicated by and the Timeline marker is indicated by
. A camera is added at the start of the every presentation to indicate the initial view.
At the top of the Timeline panel, a toolbar presents a range of options:
Before/After
Path and Stand sessions are primarily focused on moving objects, but in a presentation there is often a need to display these objects in a static state before and/or after the movement animation. This can be done by clicking and dragging the left (before) and/or right (after) end of the white bar on the timeline track. The bar will be extended with a pale blue section to indicate the before/after period.
