    Session Manager
    In This Topic

The Session Manager dialog box is a so-called 'floating' dialog box that at any time can be displayed parallel with the active command simply by clicking the button on the Quick Access toolbar.

The Session Manager dialog box contains two tabs: Current Session and Other Sessions (if multiple sessions have been saved in the drawing). When working in the 2D Presentation command, the Current Session tab displays by default and contains all relevant information concerning the ongoing 2D Presentation session. The Current Session tab contains three columns with information concerning the session, elements, and properties (for each element) respectively and the General tools area. For managing other sessions in the drawing, simply switch to the Other Sessions tab.

Note: Elements and properties that are set in the 2D Presentation command's Session Manager dialog box control the appearance of presentation sessions only. Changes made in the 2D Presentation command's Session Manager dialog box do not affect the session's original settings (those specified in the design commands).

    Session column

The Session column shows the structure of the 2D presentation with multiple session types including Path, Stand, and Park available.

Note: Some entries in the Session column are presentation specific and may differ from the Session Manager in the design commands; for example, each Path and Stand session has the Before, During, and After levels in the tree to adjust the appearance of session at each phase of the animation.

    Elements column

Selecting or clearing element checkboxes shows or hides graphic elements in the drawing in accordance with the level selected in the Session column. For example, if Path is selected in the Session column, and an airplane's Main gear is selected in the Elements column, the main gear path will display in the Before, During, and After phases of the animation.

    Properties column

Set the properties for the selected element; for example, color, line width, etc. Some elements can be filled with color by selecting the Fill checkbox and clicking Apply. Click the color icon, then, in the color table that will display, select the desired color and level of transparency, and then click Apply.

    Service Arrangement

When the Before or After session item is selected in the Elements column, the Service Arrangement elements become available in the Elements column. Selecting the display checkbox(es) for any single or multiple selection of elements will populate the properties column in accordance with the selected element(s). Select the desired properties and click Apply.

    Animation

When working with Stand sessions, if the Dock [BridgeName] to [Door] and/or Retract [BridgeName] from [Door] level is selected in the Session column, and the applicable Docked bridge element is selected in the Elements column, an Animation property set is available in the Properties column. These options can be used to set a static bridge sequence to more accurately animate bridge movements and avoid conflicts with, for example, engines or ground services.

For content about defining static bridge positions in the Stand command, see Bridge.
