This manual provides details of all aspects of GuideSIGN Markings. You need very little experience of CAD to use GuideSIGN Markings but the more knowledge you have, the better and quicker your drawings will be.
Chapter 2 — Getting Started of this manual covers the basics of first-time use of GuideSIGN Markings. It is intended to identify those features of the underlying CAD system which are necessary for proficient use of GuideSIGN Markings. It also covers how GuideSIGN Markings commands can be accessed. We recommended you use the AutoCAD or Microstation manuals and on-line help features for further information.
Chapter 3 — Creating and Editing Road Markings to Chapter 8 — Other Miscellaneous Road Markings give an overview of the different road marking types and how GuideSIGN Markings can draw these markings.
Chapter 9 — Editing Road Markings and Features explains some of the ways that markings can be adjusted or altered once they have been drawn.
Chapter 10 — Drawing Enhancements goes through the utilities available for enhancing a drawing and other road features, such as tactile paving and surfacing.
Chapter 12 — Viewing In 3D – Drivers Eye View contains the explanation of how an GuideSIGN Markings drawing may be manipulated to create an apparent driver’s eye view of the drawing, and how a slideshow can be created to view this effect.
Chapter 13 — Quantity Extraction to Chapter 14 - Labelling explain the operation of tools available to the user within GuideSIGN Markings, which can be used to perform a variety of tasks, including measurements of quantities of markings draw, labelling and other miscellaneous items.
