Sets the articulating angle to rear steering angle relationship for a rear steered part in custom vehicles. The rear steered part’s steering angle can be linked to a previous part’s articulating angle. A steering linkage can also be defined for single part custom vehicles when front and rear steering is configured. In this case, the angle of the front steering angle affects the rear steering angle. The steering linkage is defined by specifying the angle pairs that define the steering behavior between the two axle groups.

Steering linkage ratios are available for multi-part vehicles when the tractor has front steering and one or more trailers have rear steering configured. In addition, all axles in the rear steered group must be steering axles to enable steering linkages.

The steering linkage for multi-part vehicles can be described as follows: when the articulating angle is at 10 degrees, the rear steering angle is at 1 degree, then when the articulating angle reaches 45 degrees, the rear steering angle will be 25 degrees (assuming that the maximum articulating angle is 45 in this particular example). Any number of angle pairs can be defined for a steering linkage.

Steering linkage ratios for multi-part vehicles with front and rear steering only apply when generating forward maneuvers. When a multi-part vehicle with front and rear steering is generating a reverse maneuver the trailer's axles are considered to be fixed.
