Insert Symbols Along Geometry
Tools > Insert Symbols Along Geometry

Inserts symbols along the spine of a row or polyline/complex chain.

The Insert Symbols Along Geometry Tool Can Be Used in the Following Ways:

Insert Symbols Along Geometry

To Insert Symbols Along Geometry:

  1. Click Insert Symbols Along Geometry on the ParkCAD Insert Symbols flyout or ParkCAD Insert Symbols toolbar or ribbon.

  2. The Insert Symbols dialog box will display similar to the dialog box to the left.

  3. Select a symbol from the list.

  4. Specify an Angle value as desired.

  5. In the drawing, pick a row or polyline/complex chain.

  6. Pick the start point along the highlighted geometry.

  7. Pick the end point along the highlighted geometry.

  8. In the dialog box, specify the Number of Symbols to be inserted between the start and end points, including the start and end point.

  9. Optionally, select the Offset check box, select the Right or Left direction radio button, specify an offset distance Amount value and then press the Tab key.

  10. Repeat steps 3 to 9 or right-click to end this tool.

To Remove Symbols from Geometry:

  1. Click Insert Symbols Along Geometry on the ParkCAD Insert Symbols flyout or ParkCAD Insert Symbols toolbar or ribbon.

  2. In the Insert Symbols dialog box, under Mode, click Remove Symbols.

  3. In the drawing, pick the row or polyline/complex chain that you want to remove the symbols from.

  4. Repeat step 3 or right-click to end this tool.
