The panel style displays in edit mode if it is a user created panel style or in view mode if it was shipped with the software.

Panel Styles created with a Shape (see Panel Category) set to CHEVRONLEFT, CHEVRONRIGHT, or CHEVRONBOTH have this additional tab available to configure the chevron.

Panel Information Section

Displays the name of the current panel style, the units which the software uses to match the drawing's units, and the M.U.T.C.D. Edition.

Draw Chevron with rounded tip Section

Allows you to have the chevron drawn with a rounded tip. By default, the Draw Chevron with rounded tip check box is selected. If you do not want the chevron tip to be rounded, clear the check box.

• To keep the tip radius equal to the border radius (see Border Category: Border Radius), click Same as Border.
• To specify the tip radius, click the option button next to the box, and then type the desired value in the box.

Chevron Arrow Offset Section

Provides you an alternate means of specifying the left/right panel margin(s) for the angled side(s) of chevron panels. For rectangular signs, the panel margins are either fixed or calculated distances perpendicular to the inside of the adjacent border. To specify the margin distance to be perpendicular to the outside edge of the panel for the angled side of the chevron panel rather than to manually calculate and set the equivalent left/right margin distance from the inside of the border at the chevron tip, select the Chevron Arrow Offset check box and type the desired margin distance in the box.

Chevron Shoulder Radii Section

• To have the border radius calculated, click Calc, and then type the factor to use in calculation.
• To set the border radius to a fixed value, click Fix, and then type the value for the radius.

Information

Allows you to add a description for the panel style (i.e. suggested use, the reference source, and the sizes and fonts (letter series) for the major text).
