Text styles are preset text formats that can be used to quickly create most of the common types of text strings found in road signs.

Predefined Text Styles

Examples of text styles are:

• place name / distance strings
• exit distance strings
• cardinal directions with larger first letter

Each predefined style is based on text height and font (letter series) information from the current panel style.

You can bypass the predefined text styles and create custom text strings with complete control over text heights, fonts (letter series), vertical alignment, and horizontal spacing (for more information, see Tools -> Place Highway Text and Tools -> Edit Highway Text).
