Note: It is not possible to edit paths created using the Follow construction method.

When a path contains one or more segment(s), it is possible to switch to the Edit Path mode. After switching to the Edit Path mode, path editing can be carried out in two ways:

    Segment editing

In the example below, the path consists of two segments; the first segment is an Arc turn, and the second segment is an Oversteer turn. In both segments, the turn radius is set at 30 meters / 100 feet.

    1. Click Edit on the Quick Access toolbar. The dialog box will be disabled pending selection of a segment or a grip.
    2. Move the pointer near the session until the applicable segment is highlighted in pink as in the following example.

    1. Click the applicable segment (in this example, the final segment including the oversteer turn). The dialog box switches to the Edit Path mode.
    2. It is now possible to make changes to the selected segment (in this example, the nose gear radius has been changed from 30 meters / 100 feet to 20 meters / 65 feet). A ghosted image is shown for comparison between the original and edited paths as in the following example.

    1. Click in the drawing to accept the change(s), as follows:

    2. (Optional) Click Undo on the Quick Access toolbar to reverse this change if necessary.

    Grip editing

In the example below, the path consists of three segments; the first two using FreeDrive, and the third using Parallel, to enter the parking space.

Note: It is not always possible to edit paths using grip editing. The availability of this functionality is dependent on the settings that were used to create the original path.

    1. Click Edit on the Quick Access toolbar. The dialog box will be disabled pending selection of a segment or a grip.
    2. Move the pointer near the session until the applicable grip (magenta circle) is highlighted in pink as in the following example.

    3. Click the applicable grip (in this example, the grip between the second to last and last segments). The dialog box switches to Edit Path mode.
    4. It is now possible to make changes to the selected grip (in this example, the speed has been changed from 5km/h / ~3mph to 3 km/h / ~2mph and a different parking slot has been selected). A ghosted image is shown for comparison between the original and edited paths as in the following example:

    5. Click in the drawing to accept the change(s).
    6. (Optional) Click Undo on the Quick Access toolbar to reverse this change if necessary.
