Copying creates a duplicate of the opened session as a new, unnamed session. The dialog box switches to the Move Path mode so that parameters may be altered, if applicable, prior to placing the session at its new position in the drawing. A ghosted preview of the unplaced session is shown at the pointer position.
To copy a path:
Note: This process assumes that the Path tool is already running, and a session is active.
- Click Copy on the Quick Access toolbar. A ghosted preview of the new session is shown at the pointer position and the dialog box switches to the Move Path mode.
- (Optional) Select a new terrain (see Drawing Manager -> Terrains) or Drawing X,Y plane.
- Click in the drawing to set the X,Y position of the session (elevation (Z) will be taken from the terrain or X,Y drawing plane).
- Click in the drawing again to set the rotation of the session.
OR
- Select Use original X,Y coordinates and orientation to lock all coordinates except elevation (Z).
- Click anywhere in the drawing to set the position of the session.
The dialog box will return to its regular state. The new session will not be saved.
