AutoTURN Pro 11.0 Help
Analyze Sight Lines
Tools > Analyze Sight Lines

Draws sight lines based on the location of the driver's eye within the vehicle and stopping sight distances, interval distances, and object heights to determine terrain obstructions and the areas in which obstacles cannot be placed. 2D and 3D simulations as well as horizontal alignments, vertical path geometry, and terrains can be analyzed in this manner.

Horizontal Alignments

Note: This functionality is only available in AutoTURN and AutoTURN Pro.

Draw Sight lines on 2D turn simulations (Generate Arc Path, Generate Corner Path, Oversteer Corner Path, Place Adaptive Simulation) or horizontal alignments to determine the areas in which obstacles cannot be placed.

Vertical Profiles

Note: This functionality is only available in AutoTURN and AutoTURN Pro.

Draw sight lines on 2D vertical simulations (Place Vertical Simulation) or vertical path geometry to determine terrain obstructions.

Terrains

Note: This functionality is only available in AutoTURN Pro.

Draws sight lines on 3D turn simulations (Generate 3D Arc Path, Place 3D Simulation) or path geometry on a terrain to determine terrain obstructions and the areas in which obstacles cannot be placed.
