If any points on the drawing need to be labelled with their position, this routine will accomplish it, putting the resultant text onto a layer called SETOUT. The co-ordinates shown are relative to the origin in your drawing, which may have been user-specified if the drawing has been digitised into the system or automatically created if the input was from digital surveying or O.S. There is also an option to add these co-ordinates to every node on a line or polyline, so if there is already a line drawn through the co-ordinates you want to mark up, then this will do it very quickly.
The XYTEXT command opens a dialog with a number of settings. The settings alter the default way the XYtext command (above) draws the text and ‘+’. Use this dialog to alter the defaults. The options are Dtext, Mtext, Block attributes, text size, and layer color, etc. Any changes made will be saved on a per-user basis, similar to other saved settings.
