Note
The Driver's Eye View Routines are only available in the AutoCAD version of GuideSIGN Markings. The sub sections 1 to 10 do not apply to either the Microstation Connect or Select versions.
Turn View has now been superseded by the better AutoCAD command 3DWALK.
This is like moving the driver except you are manipulating the viewing position.
This requires the entry of codes as above — F (forward), B (backwards), L (left) or R (right) — and a number for the distance required (in metres), e.g. F5 or B6 or L10 etc. = forward 5 m, back 6 m or left 10°, etc). However, there is a difference with left and right as these are angular turns from the viewing position, which are more appropriately described in degrees, not an absolute target movement, e.g. L45 = turn 45° left. Often, when considering the target, you only need to turn a number of degrees left or right. The forward and backward options are rarely required unless you are moving the target to maintain a relation to a movement done to the driver’s position.
