    Starting GuideSIGN Markings
    In This Topic

    The installation of GuideSIGN Markings should create a shortcut on the user’s Windows desktop. It is strongly recommended that this is used whenever GuideSIGN Markings is required.

    The shortcut allows the following:

    1. In AutoCAD, this icon selects and opens the correct profile GuideSIGN Markings for AutoCAD to run with. In Microstation, this icons selects and use the correct UCF file for Microstation settings with GuideSIGN Markings;
    2. Starts a blank drawing based on the appropriate GuideSIGN Markings template (DWT in AutoCAD and DGN in Microstation);
    3. Loads and starts an ARX or DLL application file which loads and initializes GuideSIGN Markings.

    Note

    The Windows Explorer method of double-clicking a .dwg or .dgn file (CAD drawing file extensions), even if the file was created using GuideSIGN Markings, will not start GuideSIGN Markings. It will normally start AutoCAD or Microstation in the previous profile that was used but the software will not load. Also, if you manually switch to the GuideSIGN Markings profile within AutoCAD (or UCF in Microstation), the GuideSIGN Markings start-up and initialization routines will not be loaded and the GuideSIGN Markings commands will not work.
