The following can be set via the General Options dialog:
Yes or No – GuideSIGN Markings will normally draw and insert various items on various layers. This option will use the current AutoCAD layer for all objects drawn. It is set to "Yes" by default, and it is recommended that only really advanced users consider changing this, as most control of the layers used is available under the Styles tab.
Yes or No – Some drawing offices have standards for the layer names used. Quite commonly this involves starting all layer names with a certain prefix, which is exactly what this setting allows.
Any text – This is the actual prefix used in front of the layer names when the previous setting is set to yes.
Default objects – This bunch of settings are for the ‘default type of marking or feature’ that is used by one button in the menu. There are defaults of the Delineators, Road Humps & Reflective studs.
These control the setting of the template options in the main AutoCAD “options” command. The template is no longer as important to GuideSIGN Markings operation as in previous versions, but drawing offices may want to continue using previous settings and/or their own values for templates. Setting these here reduces the need for the settings to be adjusted with every new user, as GuideSIGN Markings will set the values for you.
