If Chinese characters display as question marks in the drawing, the text style setting should be changed as follows.

MicroStation CONNECT and OpenRoads Designer Users:

1. On the MicroStation CONNECT or OpenRoads Designer ribbon, click Annotate.
2. On the Annotate tab, click Change Text Attributes. The Change Text Attributes dialog box displays.
3. Select the Text Style checkbox, and then click the Browse button. The Text Styles dialog box displays.
4. In the Text Styles list, click TSText.
5. In the General tab, in the Font list, click Microsoft YaHei (or any other horizontal Chinese font).
6. In the Height and Width boxes, change both values to 0.750.
7. Click the Save button.

BricsCAD Users:

1. On the BricsCAD toolbar, click Annotate.
2. In the Text group, in the Text Style Control list, click TSText.
3. Click the Text Styles button. The Drawing Explorer dialog box displays.
4. Under Text Styles, in the Saved Font column, change the TSText value to Microsoft YaHei (or any other horizontal Chinese font).

ZWCAD Users:

1. On the ZWCAD toolbar, click Annotate.
2. In the Text group, click the Text Style arrow to display the list, and then click Manage Text Styles. The Text Style Manager dialog box displays.
3. In the Current Style Name list, click TSText.
4. Under Text Font, in the Name list, click Microsoft YaHei (or any other horizontal Chinese font).
5. In the Language list, click CHINESE_GB2312, and then click Apply.
