User defined stalls are drawn in ParkCAD such that they include a stall symbol. Creating a stall symbol is optional because ParkCAD provides default stall symbols. However, it may be desirable to display unique stall symbols for different user defined stall types.
The user defined stall symbols must be saved to the Stall Symbols User folder in your ParkCAD installation. For AutoCAD, each stall symbol drawing must exist as separate elements (i.e. not as a block) in a .dwg file. For MicroStation, each stall symbol must exist as separate elements (i.e. not a cell) in a .dgn file or .dwg file.
Stall symbols should be drawn on the default layer/level of a blank drawing.
ParkCAD will ignore the colors used in the stall symbol drawing and instead will use the user defined stall type's Symbol Color setting when ParkCAD draws the stall symbol.
Supported CAD element types:
Lines
Arcs
Circles (AutoCAD); ellipses (MicroStation)
Polylines/Polygons (MicroStation Line string, simple shape, complex shape, complex chain)
Text (AutoCAD MTEXT is not supported)
ParkCAD will fill all closed polylines, shapes, etc., regardless of whether there is a hatch/fill present in the stall symbol drawing. Explode closed polylines, shapes, etc., to lines and arcs if a fill is not desired.
Islands in hatches/fills are not supported. If an island is required it should be split into two or more closed polylines, shapes, etc.
Draw the stall symbol centered on the origin. The drawing's origin is used as the insertion point when drawing the stall symbol in the stall.
The scale of the stall symbol drawing is irrelevant. ParkCAD scales the stall symbol drawing based on the user defined stall type's Symbol Width setting when drawing the stall symbol in the stall.
