    Design Units Section

    Roadway Placement

This setting tells the software what design units should be used for roadway placement. In MicroStation, this setting refers to the master units setting of the design file. Design units available are:

    Sign Assembly Creation

The units that the software will use for sign assembly creation depend on the design units selected for roadway placement:

    Roadway Placement Sign Assembly Creation
    feet inches
    survey feet inches
    meters millimeters

    Region and M.U.T.C.D. Edition Section

    Region

Select the active country's content if you have purchased additional country content.

    M.U.T.C.D. Edition

Select the M.U.T.C.D. edition that the software should use to match the drawing. For the USA Region, for example:

    Insertion Scale Section

Displays the current sign support symbol and sign group insertion scale. By default, the sign support symbol insertion scale is set to 1:1, and the sign group insertion scale, to 1:5. To modify the sign support symbol and sign group insertion scale, type the desired values in the Sign Support Symbol and Sign Group boxes respectively.

    Text Height Section

Displays the height of the sign assembly annotation text. By default, the sign assembly annotation text height is set to 0.125 inch (Imperial Convention) or 3 mm (Metric Convention). To modify the sign assembly annotation text height, type the desired value in the Sign Assembly Annotations box.

Note: If you change the roadway placement units (see Roadway Placement above), the software will convert the Sign Assembly Annotations value accordingly.

    Sign Assembly ID Section

    Reuse Available Sign Assembly ID

If the Reuse Available Sign Assembly ID check box is selected, the software will reuse the ID numbers assigned to the sign assemblies that have been deleted. If you clear the Reuse Available Sign Assembly ID check box, the software will assign the next consecutive number to each new sign assembly.
