GuideSIGN Plus combines the sign creation features of GuideSIGN with the sign planning features of GuideSIGN SIGMA. GuideSIGN Plus works in the AutoCAD/BricsCAD or MicroStation CAD environments. GuideSIGN Plus works in the following units of measurement: feet, survey feet, and meters. Signs created in inches or millimeter units are placed in the drawing in the metric (meters) or English (feet, survey feet) units scaled accordingly.

    Sign Creation Features

The sign creation features provide tools for automating the process of creating and editing highway signs. The panel styles are sets of design parameters that define the characteristics of particular types of signs. Using the supplied or user created panel styles makes creating all types of signs a quick and easy process.

The text styles are preset text formats that can be used to quickly create most of the common types of text strings found in road signs with minimal input.

The software dynamically re-sizes and dimensions the signs as elements are added based on the associated panel styles. For your design, you can use GuideSIGN Plus libraries which include multiple arrow styles and route shields as well as newly updated recreational, cultural interest, and motorist service symbols. The software also includes the ability to create and place custom arrows so you no longer need to create them in CAD and then add them to libraries before using them in the software.

Sheets and reports complement the design process - the report updates automatically as the sign design changes.

There is no limit to the number of sign panels that can be placed in a drawing.

GuideSIGN exchange (.gsx) files are easy to create and share between GuideSIGN and GuideSIGN Plus versions running in the AutoCAD/BricsCAD and MicroStation environments.

Signs can be created in inches or millimeter units.

    Sign Planning Features

The sign planning features provide tools for streamlining the process of creating, placing, and reporting on sign assemblies in traffic signing plan drawings. The software supports comprehensive Federal and State standard sign libraries (purchased from Transoft Solutions) in a high quality CAD format and leverages the user’s catalogue of signs (created using GuideSIGN, GuideSIGN Plus, or drafted as cell or blocks) by providing a means to insert them into sign assemblies via a graphical interface.

Sign group arrangements supplied with the software enable the user to easily create complex sign assemblies by utilizing placeholders arranged into typical sign facings. These placeholders can then be replaced with selected signs from any of the supported libraries (GuideSIGN SIGMA, GuideSIGN, GuideSIGN Plus, or custom cell or block sign libraries).

The software also provides a custom report tool that extracts sign and sign assembly information and saves it to a .csv file.

There is no limit to the number of sign assemblies that can be placed in a drawing.

The signs can be placed with the following units of measurement: feet, survey feet, and meters. Signs created in inches or millimeter units are placed in the drawing in the metric (meters) or English (feet, survey feet) units scaled accordingly.
