    Edit Sign Plan Template
    In This Topic

Allows you to create new sign plan templates and edit existing templates.

Sign Assemblies need to have .sasm files created for them. To create a .sasm file, select the Export to Plan Templates check box in the Sign Assembly tab of the Create Sign Assembly or Edit Sign Assembly dialog box when creating or editing a sign assembly. Essentially, this means creating a sign plan using the Create Sign Assembly tool for each sign assembly to be included in the sign plan template.

If User-Defined Signs are to be included in the template, the User-Defined Sign Library file must be copied to the Assemblies folder where the .sasm files for the template reside.

After the .json files are created for each sign assembly to be included in the template, create a folder in the %appdata%\Transoft Solutions\GuideSIGN 2024.8.2\Contents User\Plan\Plan Templates folder to store the template. Copy the Assemblies\*.json folder and files to the template folder.

Preview and demonstration images need to be stored in the same folder as the template file.

Instructions and demo images are to help users pick the correct elements in their drawings.

    Location:

Sign plan templates are created in the following folder:

    %appdata%\Transoft Solutions\GuideSIGN 8.1\Contents User\Plan\Plan Templates

User-Defined sign libraries must accompany the user-defined sign's json file in the Assemblies subfolder.

    Descriptions:

Note: If there are two uppercase names, the first is the name as it appears in the Add menu and the second is as it appears in the template.
