This feature is not available in GuideSIGN SIGMA.
Allows you to horizontally align text components in multi-component text strings with text components in other strings.
To Align Text Components
- Click Align Text Components on the GuideSIGN toolbar or ribbon.
- Click a point inside the text component that you want to align to another text component. A bounding box displays around the selected component.
- Click a point inside the text component to which you want to align the selected component. Bounding boxes display around the text component to which you want to align the selected component and around the components of the text string to which the selected component belongs.
- Move the pointer to choose the desired alignment position. As you move the pointer, the selected component's bounding box will move accordingly, displaying the positions available for alignment. A vertical line connecting the bounding boxes indicates whether the text components will be left-, center-, or right-aligned.
- Left-click to have the software align the text components.
Note: Aligning a text component moves all components located to the right of the component, so you need to align the components to the right of the selected component as well.
Example
The following is an example of whole number and fraction components getting aligned within an interchange sequence sign.
1. Original sign.
2. The upper whole number (1) about to be right-aligned with the lower whole number (2).
3. Whole numbers aligned.
4. The upper fraction to be right-aligned with the lower fraction.
5. Fractions aligned.
