With renowned market-leading technology at its core, AviPLAN Airside Pro delivers a unique feature-set tailored to meet the specific challenges faced by today’s airside planning, design and operations professionals. Analyze aircraft and support vehicle movements on airport aprons and taxiways, plan complex docking scenarios with passenger boarding bridge - lead-in line - airplane combinations, assess jet blast impacts and safety clearances, simulate complex pushback maneuvers and more.
AviPLAN Airside Pro is a CAD-based program that simulates the docking of aircraft to terminal gates via passenger bridges. AviPLAN Airside Pro can generate low speed turning maneuvers for aircraft and ground support vehicles. AviPLAN Airside Pro operates in the AutoCAD, BricsCAD, or MicroStation CAD environments, and it may be used to define aircraft and vehicles and to determine aircraft and vehicle tire tracking and swept paths. The program can be used in planning and design of airport infrastructure including but not limited to parking and maneuvering areas for aircraft and roads and parking for vehicles.
AviPLAN Airside Pro calculates the location and orientation of the aircraft or vehicle as the user moves the mouse or 'steers' the aircraft or vehicle through a series of maneuvers, or follows a pre-drawn path consisting of CAD line and arc elements. Various construction points are available to construct or follow the path, for aircraft amongst others nose gear, cockpit, pilot's eye, and wing tip. While using these construction points to generate the path, the calculation is directly related to the path of the nose gear for aircraft or the steering axle center of the vehicle. Therefore this path is always displayed during the construction process.
AviPLAN Airside Pro includes most commercially available aircraft and also aircraft used for military other special purposes. The software contains commonly available passenger boarding bridges and a large variety of ground support vehicles. Standard passenger boarding bridges as supplied by manufacturers may be modified to suit local (stand) conditions. These variations from the standard bridges can be dealt with in the software in Bridge Editor. For vehicles, there is the possibility to create user-defined vehicles, in this particular case based on a number of vehicle type templates.
To be used efficiently, all AviPLAN Airside Pro products require certain hardware components or other software resources to be present on the computer, depending on the CAD platform that the software is operated on. The prerequisites provided here should be used as a guideline. Please consult the system requirements as published by the CAD platform developer for a more detailed explanation as to what your CAD platform (and, as a result, AviPLAN Airside Pro ) requires.
