Each vehicle in the software is stored as a set of dimensions.

A new vehicle can be quickly created based on a copy of an existing vehicle. This eliminates the need to make many detailed decisions regarding the numbers of parts, articulating points, tires, axles, etc.

When creating a vehicle, the following information needs to be input:

• The dimensions of each part
• The vehicle's steering lock angle
• The steering's lock to lock time
• The articulating angle of each part (for multi-part vehicles)
• The diameters of the tires.

3D capable vehicles also contain the following information:

• The pitch and roll angles of each part (for multi-part vehicles)
• The roofline or outline that is associated with each part
• The height of each part
• The ground clearances (front, wheelbase, and rear as applicable) of each part
• The connector heights of each part (for multi-part vehicles)

The software includes a wide variety of standard vehicles based on design guidelines arranged in vehicle libraries (SVL) from which custom vehicles can be quickly created (see Tools -> Vehicles -> Create New Vehicle). The software also ships with Manufacturer-Based Vehicle Libraries (MVL) but, these vehicles can not be copied and are only available to AutoTURN Pro users who have a valid MAP (Maintenance Assurance Program).

Note:

• 3D capable vehicles can only be created in AutoTURN Pro.
• Vehicles cannot be created in AutoTURN Lite.
