AQCESSRAMP 1.1 Help
Introduction
Overview > Introduction

AQCESSRAMP is a CAD based program intended to enhance productivity for architects and engineers involved in the traffic and transportation engineering fields where they are required to design accessible curb ramps.

AQCESSRAMP provides a comprehensive set of features for generating curb ramps to ADA Standards or regional design rules complete with reporting. With dynamic editing features and immediate feedback on ramp slopes, cross-slopes and elevations, engineers can produce optimal curb ramp designs efficiently. AQCESSRAMP revolutionizes the way curb ramps are designed by minimizing iteration cycles in the design process while incorporating slope and elevation checks.

The curb ramp design is generated by applying design guidelines (in the form of design values for each aspect of the curb ramp design; minimum landing width, length, slope, and cross-slopes, flare slopes, lengths, and widths, curb specifications and details, and critical offsets) to user drawn reference geometry - curbs and sidewalks. AQCESSRAMP generates the 3D model of the curb ramp from a few clicks.

AQCESSRAMP includes complete sets of ADA standards for a number of different jurisdictions (DOTs). The user can also copy and create their own design guidelines.

AQCESSRAMP works in millimeters, centimeters, meters, inches, or feet units.
